01 / 13 / 12 - THE SECOND ANNUAL HOME HAUNTERS WEBSITE GIVEAWAY
Last year Matthew Freyer Productions hosted a contest like no other. We wanted to put a spotlight on some individuals who sometimes get overshadowed by the large commercial Haunted Attractions. Yes, we are talking about the extremely hard-working, do-it-yourself, "some of my neighbors hate me" - HOME HAUNTERS!
These guys do it for the love of doing it. Some Home Haunters put as much time, and a huge chunk of their own change, into developing their Haunts as commercial Haunts do. So we thought what better way to show these dedicated individuals our appreciation than to hold a contest where the winner would receive a custom, professionally designed website to show off their Home Haunt to the rest of the world.
Well, it's back! Welcome to "The Second Annual Home Haunters Website Giveaway!" Be creative and represent your Home Haunt to the fullest. We are very excited to receive your entries and to see all the incredible talent out there.
12 / 25 / 11 - HAPPY HOLIDAYS MFP would like to wish our family, friends, fans and clients a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! We hope 2012 is triumphant for all of us! Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
06 / 03 / 11 - ARTWORK WINS FIRST PLACE at NATIONAL HAUNTERS CONVENTION My most recent piece of Original Artwork entitled, "Left Behind," took First Place in the mixed media division of the National Haunters Convention Artwork Competition. The Artwork was displayed at the convention among over 20 other entries, and said to be, "…by far the most popular in the Art Division."
I am very honored to accept the award for which I received a 1st Place ribbon and Certificate of Recognition, and look forward to future competitions. I would like to thank the National Haunters Convention and the Haunters Lair for putting on such a great event. I'd also like to especially thank, Crazy Bob Turner, for handling, displaying, and taking such good care of the work for me, as I wasn't able to attend the show.
"Left Behind" was originally produced for the forthcoming Urban Horror Issue from Morpheus Tales Magazine. The artwork appears as a black & white piece in portrait style, exclusive to this issue. To get a copy of the Urban Horror Issue and for subscription information, visit www.morpheustales.com.
Before winning First Place at the National Haunters Convention, "Left Behind," made its debut at the World Horror Convention Art Show that was held on April 28th - May 1st, 2011 in Austin Texas.

11 / 02 / 10 - "FOREST OAK SANITARIUM" Trailer
In early 2010, Matthew Freyer Productions was hired to produce a commercial advertisement for a new Haunted Attraction located in Florida. The objective was to create something that resembled a trailer for a Horror film. We were only given a small amount of information about the Haunt and a basic plot / back-story for the "trailer." Needless to say, we didn't have much to work with but we were still very, very excited to start work on this project.
From the beginning, we took on this job as a short film. Matthew wrote a script based on the back-story of the Haunted Attraction, acquired a main location for filming, cast everyone, directed, and finally edited the entire commercial.
Not only did MFP create our very first commercial advertisement for the client but we also shot our very first short film. The commercial for the Haunted Attraction is now Live on our YouTube Channel. We are uncertain as to the future of the Haunt that we produced this commercial for but we are certainly stoked for the opportunity to broaden our artistic endeavors.
The short film entitled, "Forest Oak Sanitarium," will be released online and on DVD in early 2011. Until then, please enjoy the commercial we had originally produced for the Haunt on our YouTube Channel. We are new to YouTube, so if you frequent the site, please Subscribe to the MFP channel, friend us, and all that good stuff. Here are the links. Have at it!!!
Also, if you are still not a Fan of MFP on Facebook, head on over there and "Like" us. That is the best way to find out what we are up to before anyone else.

From traveling hundreds of miles to tour some of the best Haunted Attractions in America, seeing the Ghost Hunters Live, getting caught up in the "Paranormal Activity" phenom, road trippin' to see my favorite bands, watching Woody Harrelson kick some Zombie ass, to walking down the streets of Silver Spring Maryland with about 300 other grotesque undead foot soldiers. This was definitely a Halloween that I will always remember.
To all of my friends working in the Haunted Attraction industry: owners, employees, volunteers and anyone who puts one drop of sweat into creating these elaborate and entertaining experiences - I would like to personally thank you for all of your hard work and effort.
